Free Shredding - Coming to your town!

The secure disposal of sensitive documents is so important that communities incorporate paper shredding into their public services. While privacy and fraud prevention may be the primary reasons for these events, they provide the added benefit of (safely) removing unnecessary paper from your house.

Bergen County (where I’m based), conveniently lists all the regional and municipal shredding days on the BCUA (Bergen County Utilities Authority) website and has links to each town (see below for other neighboring counties.) Residents can bring up to four bags or boxes (weighing up to 10 lbs. each) of confidential paper (recycle your magazines and newspaper curbside!) to their town’s event.

Upcoming September Shredding days:

Paramus - 9/7/2019 (9A-1P; Paramus Recycling Center, Carlough Drive)

Cliffside Park - 9/14/2019 (9A-1P; Municipal Complex Parking Lot, 525 Palisade Avenue)
