When I first started working as a professional organizer, one of the things I heard most often from clients was that they wanted to make sure their items were going to good homes. They wanted to donate thoughtfully and feel confident that their belongings would be used and appreciated.

Over time, I put together my Resources page,

a list of local organizations to help guide that process. I continue to update it regularly, so clients have clear, reliable options when they are ready to let things go.

Having a clear place to start makes a big difference.

Instead of trying to figure out where and how to donate everything, you can focus on making decisions about what you no longer need. Knowing there are reliable local options removes a lot of the uncertainty that tends to slow people down.

The resources I recommend include a mix of donation centers, community organizations, and services that can help with items that are not always easy to place. In some cases, pickup options are available, which can make the process much smoother.

When You Need Support

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or not sure where to begin, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.  We can help you sort through your items, identify what can be donated, and coordinate where everything should go, so everything becomes more manageable.
