How we transformed a toddler’s playroom into a tween’s paradise
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with the incredibly talented Xen Sams and take “A Moment of Xen” live on her iHeartRadio show. Xen had approached me with the task of transforming her daughter, Alexa’s, playroom into a tween’s paradise, which meant sorting through years of toys and kid-created clutter.
Of course, I was more than happy to take on the challenge. Having worked with Xen on previous projects in her home, I was excited about the opportunity to not only work with her again but also to share my tips and advice with her audience, especially with fellow moms. As a mom of two now-grown boys, I’ve been in Xen’s shoes, and I understand the importance of creating not only spaces that your children can grow into but also teaching them invaluable organizational skills that they’ll take with them into adulthood.
